You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have. -Maya Angelou
How much would you pay for an 8-year old’s drawings?
That is the question I asked my neighbors when instead of a lemonade stand, I attempted to sell my sketches at the end of my driveway. Never mind that my house was on a 4-lane busy street and that wood blocks held down the paper on my make-shift table. No-one stopped to buy any, but I do not remember feeling disappointed. It did not stop me from finding creative outlets. I’ve been writing and drawing ever since. I am fortunate that it is part of what I do as Creative Director at Fluid. Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to practice commercial Interior Design, lead a business as EOS Integrator, and now elevate the profession of Interior Design as President-Elect of the Northland Chapter of IIDA.
Those in the Architecture and Interior Design industry have the unique ability to translate the abstract into the tangible. We empathize with clients and create solutions that positively impact the built environment. With each passing year, I realize the importance of telling this story and sharing my passion with others. The profession of Interior Design has allowed me to hone certain skills and draw connections to others. Communicating the importance of user experience; its’ influence on the business world is my unique skill. Join in the conversation as I share research, thoughts, and tools that will help make meaningful spaces that attract.

Making a Difference for Non-Profits
We are excited to share that we are kicking off a yearly non-profit initiative with industry partners to achieve the goal of transforming the offices of non-profit organizations. In the Interior Design and Architecture Industry, we know how important a productive and engaging workplace is. We also know that non-profits historically put all of their resources to their mission and often times their space isn’t something they think about.
We want to thank all of our partners who have donated their time and resources to make this initiative possible. We’re looking forward to our first project with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and we’re excited to see where this initiative can go in the non-profit industry.
